Frequently asked questions.

What is SwimCasa, and how can you help us?

SwimCasa provides personalized guidance for high school swimmers and their families navigating the college recruiting process. Think of recruiting as taking an extra class or applying for jobs—it requires time, effort, and strategy. My recruiting sessions function like tutoring workshops with a professor or working with a career coach.

From identifying best-fit schools to connecting with college coaches, I help streamline the process so athletes can focus on their goals while parents gain peace of mind knowing they’re making informed decisions.

When should we start the recruiting process?

It’s never too early to start thinking about college recruiting! The decisions you make starting freshman year matter. Ideally, swimmers should begin researching schools and building their profiles midway through sophomore year. However, considering your preferences and learning about the recruiting process should begin much earlier.

Starting early gives you a critical advantage in standing out to college coaches.

What does a recruiting session look like?

Each consultation is customized to your needs. Sessions may include refining your list of target schools, reviewing outreach strategies, preparing for calls or visits, and evaluating scholarship offers. You’ll leave each meeting with clear, actionable steps.

I provide a tailored plan before the meeting, follow up with detailed notes, and keep parents informed. While many athletes prefer one-on-one sessions, parents are welcome to join to ensure everyone stays aligned throughout the process.

How long does the process take?

The recruiting process varies, but I typically work with athletes for about a year. In some cases, I’ve successfully placed athletes in less than three months. A longer timeline allows us to thoroughly research schools, connect with coaches, and navigate key milestones like the contact period, official visits, and scholarship offers.

The frequency of meetings depends on how much recruiting homework the athlete is willing to take on. At a minimum, I recommend a family check-in once per semester to stay aligned and track progress.

What does it cost to work with SwimCasa?

Hourly sessions are $229 and are time-tracked billed. Sessions last roughly 50 minutes, ensuring you get the most value for your time. Club affiliates receive a discount on recruiting sessions, and packages of three or six sessions are available at a reduced rate. Contact me for details on discounts and package pricing.

Can you guarantee scholarships or offers?

I cannot guarantee scholarships. However, every swimmer I’ve worked with has earned money to attend college. My goal is to help athletes earn a degree at the lowest possible cost while continuing to compete, guiding them toward the right program with personalized support.

How do we know which colleges are the best fit?

I’ll help you evaluate colleges based on three key factors: academics, athletics, and community. Together, we’ll identify schools that align with your goals, swimming ability, and personal preferences, ensuring you’re targeting programs where you can thrive.

How do we get started?

Getting started is simple. Schedule your free 50-minute consultation via Zoom using the link provided. During this session, I’ll meet with both the athlete and their parents/guardians to discuss your goals, assess where you are in the recruiting process, and create a customized plan tailored to your needs.

This introductory meeting is designed to set you up for success in your recruiting journey by clarifying next steps and ensuring everyone is aligned on the process.

Do you work with athletes outside of swimming?

No, my expertise is exclusively in swimming. I specialize in college swimming recruiting, which allows me to provide highly tailored guidance for swimmers and their families. My background in and focus on swimming ensures that you’re working with someone who truly understands the sport and its recruiting process.

Can you help with academics or the application process?

Yes! While my primary focus is athletic recruiting, I can also provide guidance on academic planning, admissions timelines, and connecting with college admissions offices. My goal is to support you in balancing both athletics and academics.

How are your services different from other recruiting platforms?

I save families time, money, and energy while providing unmatched expertise. As a former NCAA college coach and recruiting coordinator, I understand the process from the inside out. I’ve spent the past seven years working directly with families, guiding athletes to their best-fit schools and helping them navigate every step of the recruiting journey.

Unlike other services, I offer competitive pricing with no upfront lump sum costs, making my guidance more accessible. With flexible scheduling and a pay-as-you-go model, you only pay for the time you need.

By choosing SwimCasa, you gain a trusted partner with deep expertise and a personal commitment to making the recruiting process as smooth, efficient, and successful as possible.

What if we have more questions or need extra support?
